Do you want to be the technical cornerstone behind the next generation of UAV engines? Nordic Advanced Systems (NAS) is looking for a passionate and technically strong Technical Engine Specialist to take a central role in our engine platform work for UAV systems. You will be the technical hub connecting our customers, NAS's internal organisation, and our international partner network across development, test, quality, and supply chain. This is not a traditional sales role — it is a specialist position where you become one of the key people around our engine platform, ensuring that technical feedback, test results, quality observations, and product improvements are handled professionally and effectively.
You will drive the technical feedback loop around our engine platform. When engines are tested, evaluated, or used by customers, you ensure that observations, experiences, and technical issues are documented, analysed, and translated into concrete actions. You will act as the central link between customers, sales, production, quality, international development environments, and supply chain partners.
- Build and maintain deep technical knowledge of NAS's engine platform — take responsibility for the quality end-to-end.
- Serve as the internal technical specialist on all engine-related questions.
- Plan, execute, and interpret engine tests; understand and document all operational parameters.
- Be the first point of contact when issues arise at customer sites — diagnose root causes and drive resolution.
- Participate in technical customer meetings and reviews; support the sales organisation with technical expertise.
- Collect, document, and analyse technical feedback and deviations from customers and field use.
- Coordinate technical clarifications with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare technical reports, analyses, and maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
- Contribute to quality improvements, traceability, and root cause analyses.
- Combustion engines — particularly two-stroke engines.
- EFI systems, ignition systems, sensors, and instrumentation.
- Temperature and pressure measurements; data acquisition and analysis.
- Calibration principles, test equipment, and performance evaluation.
We are open to different technical profiles, for example: Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineer, Production Technologist, Aviation Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic or Technician, Automotive Engineer, or Engine / Test Engineer. Hands-on experience and practical technical understanding are highly valued. Experience with UAV systems is an advantage but not a requirement.
- Combustion engines — two-stroke or four-stroke.
- Engine testing, validation, and technical support.
- Fault-finding, root cause analysis, and data analysis.
- Product quality and technical documentation.
- Genuine passion for engines and how they work.
- Structured, analytical, and detail-oriented.
- Clear and professional communicator — able to translate technical complexity for customers.
- Service-minded: you thrive on solving problems and helping customers succeed.
- Takes ownership and follows tasks through to completion.
- Thrives in cross-functional collaboration across organisations and borders.
